New to AI? Start here.
You don't need any technical knowledge to use chatmodel. If you can write a text message, you can use AI. Here's how to get going.
What AI is, in one line
It’s a helper you talk to by typing. You ask a question or describe a job, and it answers in seconds: an email, a recipe, an explanation, a plan.
Your first conversation
- Open the chat on chatmodel.
- Type what you need, as if you were asking a friend. For example: “I need to write a short, kind message to a neighbor asking them to trim their hedge.”
- Read the answer.
- Reply to improve it. “Make it shorter.” “Less formal.” “Add that I’m happy to help.” You don’t need to start again.
That’s the whole secret. The first answer is a draft. The real value is in the back-and-forth.
Five things to try today
- Plan something: a weekend away. See the trip guide.
- Write something: an email you’ve been putting off. Try Help Me Write.
- Understand something: upload a letter or a contract and ask what it means with Chat with PDF.
- Cook something: a week of dinners with the meal plan guide.
- Make something: bring an old family photo back to life with the photo restoration guide.
Tips that help from day one
Give it details. Who it’s for, how long, what tone. More detail, better answer.
Ask it to explain simply. “Explain it like I’m new to this” works on any topic.
Don’t share secrets. Never paste passwords, card numbers or bank details. The AI doesn’t need them.
Check what matters. AI can sometimes get facts wrong. For health, money or legal questions, check with a professional.
Beyond chat
chatmodel also makes images and videos, and has tools for translating, transcribing recordings and more. Browse the tools when you’re ready.
