Plans and pricing, in plain words
chatmodel has one plan, Pro, and two ways to get more: Studio for images and video every day, and a Top-up when you run low. Here's what each one is for.
Pro: the plan
Pro gives you chat, images and tools with the best AI models, all in one place. That includes the top chat models from OpenAI, Anthropic (Claude), Google (Gemini) and others, image generation, and tools like chatting with PDFs, Word and Excel files, web search and creating slides, documents and spreadsheets.
You can pay for 1 month, 3 months or 1 year. You pay the whole period up front, and it renews automatically at the same price until you cancel, which you can do anytime in Settings.
Studio: for images and video every day
Studio is an add-on to Pro. Pro already lets you make one picture and one video a day, to try them; Studio gives you many more of both every day, plus more chats. You need Pro to add it.
It’s billed on the same cycle as your Pro plan and renews until you cancel. If you mostly chat and write, you probably don’t need it. If you make pictures or videos most days, it’s the one to look at.
Top-up: extra usage, no subscription
A Top-up is a one-time payment for when you run low before your plan renews. It adds usage on top of your plan, it’s active right away, and it doesn’t renew. Each Top-up is valid for the number of months shown next to it.
Why usage runs out faster sometimes
Some things use much more than others. Creating images, advanced edits like restoring a photo, long documents and PDFs use more. Video uses the most, especially longer or higher-quality clips. The top models also use far more than lighter ones, especially in long conversations.
To make your usage last, use a faster, lighter model for simple chats and save the top models for the jobs that need them. Our guide on which model to use helps.
