In plain words
Wan V3.0 Prime makes clips with sound from a description, a photo, a first and a last picture, or reference pictures. Clips run from 2 to 30 seconds, up to 1080p.
On paper it offers the same options as Wan V3.0. The difference is where it sits: Prime is a step up from Wan V3.0, and it may be a little slower.
How to get the most out of it
- Draft with Wan V3.0, finish with Prime. Settle the scene, the camera and the length first, then send the same message here.
- Write the details you care about. Prime is the one to use when small things matter, so name them: the string lights, the glasses, the time of day.
- Use reference pictures for anything that must look like the real thing.
- Be patient. Give it a moment, especially for long clips.
How it compares with its siblings
Wan V3.0 has the same options and suits quicker tries. Wan V2.6 and Wan V2.6 I2V are the older generation: one works from words, the other from photos, both up to 15 seconds.
When to pick another model
For 4K, choose Kling V3.0 or Veo 3.1. For clips up to 30 seconds from ByteDance, see Seedance 2.5.
