In plain words
Wan V2.6 turns a written description into a short video with sound. You pick a length from 2 to 15 seconds, and the clip can be up to 1080p.
The “Wan” models come from Alibaba. This one is the text version. Its twin, Wan V2.6 I2V, does the same job starting from a photo.
How to get the most out of it
- Describe it like a film scene. Where are we, what time of day, what moves, what we hear.
- Put the main action first. “A child throws bread to ducks” before the details of the blanket.
- Say what the camera does. “Slow pan”, “camera rises”, “wide still shot”.
- Keep the cast small. One or two people or animals are easier than a crowd.
How it compares with its siblings
Wan V2.6 I2V is the same generation for photos instead of words. The newer Wan V3.0 does both, can join a first and a last picture, works with reference pictures and goes up to 30 seconds. Wan V3.0 Prime is a step up from it. If you’re writing from scratch and 15 seconds is enough, Wan V2.6 does the job.
When to pick another model
For a clip that starts from your own photo, choose Wan V2.6 I2V or Seedance 2.0. For 4K from text, try Kling V3.0.
