In plain words
Wan V2.6 I2V starts from a photo you upload. You tell it what should move, and it makes a clip of 2 to 15 seconds with sound, up to 1080p.
It is the photo twin of Wan V2.6, which works from words.
How to get the most out of it
- Pick a clear, well-lit photo. A sharp picture gives the clip a strong start. For old photos, see restore old photos first.
- Say what moves and what stays still. “The waves roll, the people stay still” helps it keep faces steady.
- Choose gentle movement. Wind, water, light and smoke tend to be easier than people walking or dancing.
- Ask for the sound too. “Sound of waves” or “birdsong” makes the clip feel complete.
How it compares with its siblings
Wan V2.6 is the same generation for text. Wan V3.0 is newer and handles photos, text, a first and a last picture, and reference pictures, with clips up to 30 seconds. Wan V3.0 Prime is a step up from Wan V3.0.
When to pick another model
To join a first and a last picture, choose Wan V3.0 or Kling V3.0 I2V. To copy the movement of another video onto your photo, look at Kling V3.0 Motion.
