In plain words
Seedance 2.5 makes a clip with sound from a description, a photo, or a first and a last picture. The length is up to you, from 4 to 30 seconds.
That extra time is the reason to choose it. Most video models give you a few seconds. With this one a scene can unfold slowly.
How to get the most out of it
- Describe how the scene changes over time. “The sky turns from gold to pink to blue” gives a long clip something to do.
- Keep the action slow. Long clips suit calm scenes. Lots of quick action is harder to keep steady.
- Test short, then go long. Make a 6 second version first. When the look is right, ask for 20 or 30.
- Use two pictures when you know exactly where the scene should end.
How it compares with its siblings
It is newer than Seedance 2.0 and makes longer clips. Seedance 2.0 stops at 15 seconds but goes up to 4K. Seedance 2.0 Fast is the quick one at 720p. The older Seedance V1.5 Pro and Seedance V1.0 Pro Fast make shorter clips.
When to pick another model
Another model with clips up to 30 seconds is Wan V3.0, which also goes up to 1080p. If you need 4K, choose Seedance 2.0 or Veo 3.1.
