In plain words
Most video models start from a description or a picture and invent the movement. Kling 2.6 Motion works differently: you give it the movement. You bring a picture and a short video, and it makes the person or character in the picture copy the moves from the video.
The clip comes out silent, at 720p.
How to get the most out of it
- Match the framing. It tends to work best when your picture shows the body the same way the video does: full body with full body, same angle, same distance.
- Keep the reference simple. One person, clear moves, a plain background.
- Say what must stay the same. “Keep the face and colors the same” helps the character hold together.
- Check hands and faces before you share. Fast moves can blur them.
How it compares with its siblings
Kling V3.0 Motion does the same job and is the newer version. Kling V3.0 I2V brings a photo to life from a description instead of a reference video, with sound. Kling 2.6 is from the same generation but makes clips from text only.
When to pick another model
If you don’t have a video to copy, describe the movement to Kling V3.0 I2V or Seedance 2.0. For a clip with sound from a photo, Veo 3.1 is another option.
