In plain words
Llama 4 Scout is a chat assistant from Meta. It’s a lighter, quicker model: good for small jobs you want done in a moment.
It understands photos and helps with code and spreadsheet formulas. It doesn’t think before it answers, doesn’t read PDF files and doesn’t search the web. Knowing that, it’s a handy helper for everyday odds and ends.
How to get the most out of it
- Keep questions short and clear. One job per message works best.
- Send a clear photo in good light, close up, if you want something identified.
- List what you have. Ingredients, amounts or column names give it what it needs.
- Move to another model if the job grows into something bigger.
How it compares with its siblings
The other Meta chat models in chatmodel are the Muse Spark versions: Muse Spark 1.1, Muse Spark 1.2 and Muse Spark 1.3. They think before they answer and read documents, so they suit careful work better. For pictures, Meta also has Muse Image 1.0.
When to pick another model
