What you put in

Stayed three nights in October for my sister's 60th. Room was fine, bit small, and the shower took ages to heat up (I timed it, nearly four minutes, not ideal at 7am). But honestly the staff made up for it. Our waiter Paolo remembered my husband can't eat nuts after one dinner and on the last night brought out a little cake with a candle for my sister without us asking. She cried. Breakfast was hit and miss, the eggs were cold twice. Parking is a nightmare, go by taxi if you can. Would I go back? Probably, yes, but I'd ask for a room away from the lift.

Analysis

  • The text exhibits a natural, conversational tone with personal anecdotes and specific details (e.g., timing the shower, Paolo remembering a dietary restriction, sister crying).
  • Sentence structure and length show variability, reflecting a natural human writing rhythm.
  • The inclusion of minor complaints alongside positive aspects (room size/shower vs. staff) is characteristic of genuine human feedback.
  • There is a clear personal voice and opinion ("honestly the staff made up for it," "Parking is a nightmare").
  • Cohesive devices are used sparingly and naturally, not in an overly structured or formulaic way.

What the AI Detector does

The AI Detector reads a text and gives you two things: an estimated AI probability, as a percentage, and an Analysis list with the clues behind that number.

It looks for the habits AI writing often has:

  • Lots of linking phrases like “Moreover”, “In conclusion” or “It is important to note”.
  • No real personal stories or a voice of its own.
  • Very balanced, safe arguments that never take a side.
  • Sentences that are all about the same length.

It also looks for signs of a person: odd turns of phrase, slang, sentences that speed up and slow down, and real feeling.

It doesn’t change your text. It only reads it.

What it won’t do

Let’s be clear: no AI detector can be 100% sure. There’s no hidden stamp inside AI text. The tool makes an educated guess, and guesses can be wrong in both directions.

  • Clear, formal human writing can look like AI. People who write in a second language are sometimes flagged unfairly.
  • AI text that a person has edited, or that was written in a casual style, can look human.
  • Very short texts don’t give it enough to go on.
  • It won’t rewrite anything or tell you who wrote the text.

That’s why the result is a clue, not a verdict.

How to use it well

Check longer texts. Several paragraphs give a more useful result than a line or two.

Look at the whole picture. Does the text match how the person usually writes? Do they know what it says when you ask them about it?

Use it on your own drafts. It’s a handy check if you use AI to help you write and want the final version to sound like you.

If your own AI-assisted draft reads as machine-made, the AI Humanizer helps it sound more natural. See all the tools.

Frequently asked questions

What does the result look like?

An estimated AI probability as a percentage, followed by a short list of the signs it found in the text.

Is the AI Detector 100% accurate?

No. No AI detector can be completely sure. Some human writing looks like AI, and some AI writing, especially when edited by a person, looks human. Use the result as a hint, never as proof.

Should I accuse someone based on the result?

Please don't. A detector can be wrong, and false accusations hurt. If you're worried, talk to the person and ask how they wrote it.

Does it work on short texts?

Short texts give much less reliable results. A few paragraphs is better than a single sentence.

Will it fix the text for me?

No. It only analyzes. To rewrite a draft so it sounds more natural, use the AI Humanizer.
