In plain words
KAT-Coder-Pro V2 is a chat model from KwaiPilot, made for code, and the newer of its two KAT-Coder models in chatmodel. It thinks before it answers, so it works through a problem step by step.
The difference you’ll notice most is that it understands photos. You can send a screenshot of an error, a layout or a spreadsheet instead of describing it. In chatmodel it doesn’t read PDF files or search the web.
How to get the most out of it
- Send a screenshot and the code. The picture shows what’s wrong; the code shows why.
- Say what you’re using. WordPress, Shopify, Excel, Google Sheets, Mac or Windows.
- Ask for the smallest fix. “Change as little as possible” keeps the rest of your site safe.
- Test before you trust it. Try the change on a copy, then on the real thing.
How it compares with its siblings
Its sibling is KAT-Coder-Pro, the first version. Both are coding models that think before they answer. V2 is newer and can look at screenshots; the first version works with text only.
When to pick another model
If you need help with writing or everyday questions as well as code, a general model like GPT 5.5 or Claude Sonnet 5 covers both. Not sure? Read which model should I use.
