Winner: GPT Image 2.5 Flare. Both spelled “VISIT LISBON” correctly. GPT Image made a bold poster that fills the frame. Seedream's poster is pretty, but it added words nobody asked for: “City of Seven Hills”, a made-up “Portugal Turismo” logo and a “Go now, stay forever” slogan.

Winner: GPT Image 2.5 Flare. Both wrote “Happy 60th, Maria!” correctly in gold, with spring flowers and a cake. GPT Image made a square card with big letters that fill it. Seedream made a lovely wide card, but the words are smaller among all the flowers.

Winner: GPT Image 2.5 Flare. Both included the rainy window, the steam, the tea and the cinnamon sticks. GPT Image made the pie the star, with apples, autumn leaves and a candle around it. Seedream's pie is smaller in a wider kitchen scene with a stove behind it.

A tie. Both made a happy golden retriever in a helmet with the Earth behind it. GPT Image's dog is bigger and closer; Seedream's sits further away with a long shadow. Both drew a boot print in the dust, as if a person had walked there.

Winner: GPT Image 2.5 Flare. The description asked for a sunrise and rainbow patterns on the sand. GPT Image did both, with the sun low on the dunes and color all over the sand. Seedream made a very wide picture in bright daylight, with only a little rainbow on the sand.

Winner: Seedream 5.0 Pro. We asked for loose brushstrokes and white paper showing through. Seedream's painting is lighter and looser, with lots of white paper. It also added a road sign with a made-up village name, “MAFALA”. GPT Image's painting was pretty but looked more like a finished print.

Can you use these pictures?
Both spelled every word right in our test, but that isn’t guaranteed. Before you print a card or a poster, read every word on it, and look for words you didn’t ask for: Seedream added a slogan and a made-up logo to the poster, and a village name to the painting. Seedream also puts a small, faint “AI generated” label in the corner. And remember the pictures are made up: don’t use them to show something that really happened.
How we tested
We wrote 8 descriptions of the pictures people actually make: a family portrait, food, a poster, a birthday card, a pet, and a few impossible scenes. Both models got exactly the same words, one try each, and we kept the first picture without retouching it. We judged how well each picture followed the description and how good it would look printed or shared. We also timed each picture where we could.
